  • Motion 1: FCCEJ will support the Annual Charter update of Boy Scout Pack 630.
  • Motion 2: Church Council will accept the revised Human Resources Policy.
  • Motion 3: FCCEJ will direct the Finance Committee to use surplus funds from 2022 to pay the Hope Fund commitment up to $5,000.
  • Motion 4: Church Council will accept the 2023 Budget as reviewed for presentation at Annual Meeting (with de minimis changes)
  • Motion 5: Council will direct the Trustees to approve a contract with KR Adams for up to $98,000 to complete structural work necessary to increase the live load capacity of the Fellowship Hall floor, as recommended by the structural engineering firm DuBois & King.
  • Motion 6: Council will leave budgeted the 2022 Endowment distribution ($16,000) in the endowment as to not reduce the balance.
  • Motion 7: Council will appoint a subcommittee of 3-5 people to review options for the Preschool space and report recommendations to Council no later than April 2023.
  • Discussion topic: Plan for a new Associate Pastor or other role
    • Each committee should reflect their recommendation in their next minutes, considering the question: What role or configuration helps your committee?
    • Proposed discussion and education sessions for the Congregation:
      • January 22nd after church at 9:45 and 11:30 in the Marvin Lounge
      • February 1st at 7 pm in the Marvin Lounge
  • Discussion/questions from reports submitted by committees, recognized groups and teams – if warranted
  • Any other questions from reports
  • Request for agenda items for next meeting on February 7, 2023
