Pastoral Search Updates
March 30, 2026
The Pastoral Search Committee has completed the in-person cottage meetings where they received some great input for their work.
Now the committee will be sending an email to all church members soliciting feedback through a Google Survey. The survey is also available on the FCCEJ Facebook page or by clicking here. Please only complete one survey per person. If you attended a Cottage Meeting, you do not need to fill out a survey. If you did attend but would like to fill it out and add additional information, you are welcome to do so.
The next step for the committee will be to compile the results of the meetings and survey use it to inform the Church Profile. The Church Profile is a complex picture of our church – describing historical, community, financial, and demographic information. The committee hopes to have the Profile completed and ready to post later this spring.

The Pastoral Search committee will be holding a series of Cottage meetings to help inform our Church Profile. Some of the questions we may be asking include:
- What is our church like? Who are we? What are its defining characteristics? When have you experienced God in our church?
- What is our community like? What are its defining characteristics? Who is our neighbor?
- What are you looking for from a pastor during this time in our church’s life? Who is God calling us to become? What is our mission as a church?
We want to hear from you! Whether you are a new member, or have been attending a long time, please come and share your opinions!
The meetings will be held at the church or some members homes. Please use the Sign up Genius located here to chose a time and day that works best for you. We ask that you only sign up for one meeting, to allow as many people as possible to participate. If these times don’t work for you, please keep checking the sign up as we will likely add future dates. If you are uncomfortable using the online sign up, please call the Church Office at (802) 878-5745 and Jen can sign you up.
