The Community Concerts at First music series celebrates artists from Vermont and New England. Community Concerts at First is an opportunity for the Essex community to gather and enjoy great music together.<\/p>\n

Please join us for the first concert of the 2023 CC@F season! Blues guitarist Paul Asbell will share his fresh takes on blues and jazz standards, old-timey country tunes, and original pieces from the “american roots” tradition.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div>\n

In his 50 year professional career, Paul Asbell has played and recorded with Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, David Bromberg, Mary McCaslin, Bobby McFerrin, and many others. Paul has taught guitar for over 50 years.. He presently teaches at Middlebury College and the University of Vermont.<\/p>\n
