Get Involved<\/h3>

Serving alongside others can be a wonderful way to get to know people, try new things, give something back, and deepen your faith.\u00a0<\/span>We would love to have you share your time and talent with us. T<\/span>ogether, we can BE THE CHURCH.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Let us know where you would like to help by filling out the form below or contacting the Church Office. You can also visit the various sections of our website to learn more:<\/p>\n

Worship…<\/span><\/strong> be an Usher or Greeter<\/a>, ring the bell, acolyte (light the candles), help our Treasurer count the offering after services, provide baked goods for Fellowship time after services, and more. Look for the Sign Up Genius link to the right on this page.<\/p>\n

Children & Youth…<\/span><\/strong> be a Peer Group Leader or Helper, be a Spiritual Friend, help out with Vacation Bible Camp, help with Hands-on Mission projects for kids, chaperone a Youth Group outing, bring a meal for Christmas Pageant rehearsal, and more.<\/p>\n

Music…<\/span><\/strong> consider joining one of our many musical groups… all are welcome!<\/p>\n

Outreach & Missions…<\/span><\/strong> volunteer for the <\/span>Food Pantry<\/span>, <\/span>Thrift Shop<\/span>, Essex Eats Out, meals for Dismas House, and other service opportunities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Events… <\/span><\/strong>help with the Five Corners Craft Fest, collect donations for the Silent Auction, become a Wedding Advisor (help coordinate weddings at the church), become a Sexton (assist funerals and other events), cook for special events, organize special events\/fundraisers (Progressive Dinner Club, etc.), and more.<\/span><\/p>\n

Building & Grounds… <\/span><\/strong>help decorate the Sanctuary for the Christmas season, “spruce-up” projects like painting or organizing, gardening, handyman tasks, and more.<\/span><\/p>\n

Committees…<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>a great way to get to know other people is by working together on a regular basis on a committee. If you are interested in serving on a particular committee or would like more information, please contact the <\/span>Church Office.<\/span><\/p>\n

New Member Class…<\/span><\/strong>The Deacons offer <\/span>New Member classes<\/span> several times throughout the year. Classes are open to anyone interested in learning more about First Church and how to become a member.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
