Making a Pledge
When thinking about your pledge, keep in mind that Campaign pledges may be paid over a period of one, two or three years. The Campaign can accept gifts of cash, stock or other appreciated assets. We are not able to accept restricted gifts for this Campaign (i.e. gifts that are designated for any one particular project). For specific information about stock transfers, please review the Making a Gift of Stock handout. You may make pledge payments electronically by setting up online Bill Pay with your bank. Please see our Frequently Asked Questions for more details about making a pledge to the Campaign.
Schedule a Campaign Visit OR Download a Pledge Form
If you schedule a Campaign Visit, your Campaign Ambassador will bring a confidential Pledge Form for you to fill out. A Campaign Visit is a wonderful opportunity to have your questions answered, and get to know another church member a little better! The conversation will revolve around why we love our church, our hopes and dreams for the future, the Capital Campaign and why it’s important to us. The visit is designed to be fun and friendly. There is absolutely no pressure and this visit is not about asking for specific amounts of money…that is entirely up to you!
If you are interested in scheduling a visit with one of our Campaign Ambassador volunteers, please contact Maureen Evans.
If you don’t wish to have a visit, our pledge form is available for download here.
Returning Your Pledge
Place your confidential pledge in a sealed envelope and give it to your visitor, drop it off at the church office or mail it to First Congregational Church of Essex Junction, One Church Street, Essex Junction, VT 05452. Be sure to keep a copy for your records.
Your pledge is confidential. Only the Campaign Treasurer, Dan Petherbridge, and church Financial Secretary will know pledge details.
